Black History Month Film Showing and Discussion of

I Am Not Your Negro
February 17 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
$3 – $10

Celebrate Black History Month at a viewing of the film based on James Baldwin’s insightful writings on U.S. race relations.

This acclaimed movie powerfully represents Black activist and writer James Baldwin’s reflections on the boundaries of race and the necessity for multi-issue coalition-building in the civil rights movement.

The film’s rich historical footage connects the ongoing struggle for Black freedom and equality to today’s movements. After the movie, join in the discussion on how people of all colors can organize together and the essential role of radical African American leadership. 2016, 93 minutes.

Special guest, Kristina Lee, queer Black and Chinese American feminist and anti-fascist activist, will introduce and comment on the film.
