I’ve turned so many people on to this show and have never heard any regrets. The best is my brother Eric. We share many of the same proclivities when it comes to our TV likes and dislikes. He’s as addicted to the brothers and their never-ending hunter’s life as I am.
Glad Castiel (Misha Collins) is still around. Thought I wouldn’t survive Bobby (Jim Beaver) biting the dust. I managed. And the brothers, skillfully and energetically portrayed by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles…? Well, everything hangs on them, doesn’t it? It doesn’t matter how sky high the bar inherent in the scripts and overall production values, if the brother’s chemistry and acting chops didn’t bare the PH-balance test of freshness, we’d have said good-bye a long time ago. We’re still here!
In this video we revisit the Season 9 finale. Note: this is a deleted shot in which an effect that would have been too much of a forecast was not seen in the original show. Here, Dean is visited by Crowley (Mark Sheppard) and given the ornate implement that cleaves to him as if he is its only home; bringing him to a place which should not be uttered and never be visited. And is the perfect set-up for Season 10.
Season 10 begins this week. What trials and travails await them; what joy awaits us.
